Having come to an Ainslie Toastmasters meeting as a guest, the best way to improve your public speaking is to join the club and start giving speeches.
As they say, "practice makes perfect". Toastmasters gives members numerous opportunities to practice their public speaking - including prepared speeches to meet the objectives of a speech in the Communication and Leadership manual, speech evaluations and impromptu Table Topics speeches.
If you enjoy the atmosphere of Ainslie Toastmasters, you can become a member for $40 up front, plus a pro-rata share of the club's $50 semi-annual fee. See the table below for the cost to join the club at different times of the year.
Membership will gain you two Toastmasters manuals with speaking and other assignments to complete: the Communication and Leadership manual and the Competent Leadership manual. As a Toastmasters member you will also have home-delivered a monthly copy of the excellent Toastmasters International magazine.
Continuing members simply contribute the $50 semi-annual fee in March and September.
